The Library Night Pass Management System (Version 2.0) is an institutional software solution developed for the Nava Nalanda Library under the Dean of Student Affairs Office at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.
This platform was designed to manage late-night academic access for students while ensuring security, accountability, and real-time monitoring of hostel-to-library movement. The system integrates booking, scanning verification, transit monitoring, and violation tracking through a modern dashboard-based interface.
Version 2.0 represents a major redesign of the system, introducing improved architecture, enhanced security workflows, and a fully redesigned administrative interface.
The Library Night Pass Management System is a digital platform developed to manage late-night academic access for students. The system allows students to request permission to leave their hostels after evening hours in order to use institutional academic facilities such as the Nava Nalanda Library.
The platform integrates booking, security verification, and real-time monitoring of student movement between hostels and the library. Through a structured scanning workflow and administrative dashboard, the system ensures accountability while maintaining a smooth process for students who need late-night study access.
The system records timestamps for each scan and evaluates movement according to defined timing rules. If any stage is missed or delayed beyond the allowed limit, the system automatically generates a violation entry.
This application is an official institutional software system developed for the Dean of Student Affairs Office at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.
All institutional rights and operational ownership remain with the DoSA Office.
